Project N95 Social Media & Brand Stewardship
Project N95 Twitter Account Stewardship | June 2021
When I took over our brand’s custodianship of our twitter account we only had a few hundred followers, but I knew, right in the midst of the summer of 2021, that Project N95 needed to have a presence in the public square of discourse over these issues, between policy makers, doctors, nurses, epidemiologists, virologists and the members of the public we sought to serve. I knew that we had to lean into our messaging, into what people wanted to know, and engage forcefully in the growing debate about COVID-19 policy, public health policy, and even just individual personal safety choices.
As the CDC and other public leaders saw their trust atrophy, the daily activity I drove for us on Twitter, in concert with the leadership I provided our social media team of invaluable volunteer contributors, helped us earn a verification tag and saw our following grow to over 38,000 by the end of 2021.
That led to major news outlets like NPR, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Scientific American featuring Project N95 prominently as a trustworthy source for N95 masks, something that continues to this day as members of the public seek mask protection from apocalyptic wildfire smoke in 2023.
Health Equity Candidate Management Platform
Project N95 Candidate Screening & Onboarding System | May 2023
In the face of a global pandemic, Project N95 was born to provide essential PPE to frontline workers. As the project grew, it became clear that a robust, adaptable system was needed to manage the expanding pool of volunteers. Recognizing this need, we embraced the opportunity offered by Airtable and began the challenging but rewarding task of adapting it into our own candidate management system.
This project exemplifies the power of technological innovation, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of health equity. Key features of the system include public-facing applications, real-time Slack notifications, dynamic role management, automated interview scheduling, and expanded functionality with Stacker. The system also provides real-time data dashboards for transparent insights and promotes equitable hiring practices by obscuring identifying information during initial reviews.
We are exploring the possibilities of leveraging AI in further enhancing our candidate management system. We anticipate AI-assisted functions will automate the initial evaluation of candidates, dynamically match candidates to suitable roles, and intelligently analyze and extract key data from LinkedIn profiles, websites, and resumes.
This work sample showcases the potential of technology to bridge gaps in health equity and the power of resourceful collaboration in achieving complex goals.

Remote Work Leadership Panel
Calendly Remote Work Panel Discussion | March 2021
I was honored to be invited by Calendly to join a panel discussion on remote work, along with leaders from Zapier and Confer With. At Project N95, we have navigated our mission in a remote world, achieving significant strides in improving access to PPE and COVID tests. In the discussion, I shared insights from our all-remote, global collaboration and how our people-powered operation has been the key to our accomplishments. We are passionate about supporting our team and fostering a culture that puts people first. I truly believe in the power of sharing knowledge and experiences to empower other teams to do great work, too. Here's an inside look at running an organization or business virtually.
Technology Platform Architecture
MEDIUM: The Tech Companies Supporting Project N95 | May 2020
Background: Project N95 is a non-profit that greatly depends on software tools and technology to run productive, secure and remote working environments. These tools not only enable remote work but also ensure the security of their data and contribute to efficient processes, helping connect verified suppliers to frontline workers who need essential medical equipment. Without these tools, the organization's achievements would not have been possible.
White House Operations
Jimmy Kimmel Live: How Does President Obama Get Woken Up? | October 2016
In a unique intersection of technology, trust, and tradition, the White House switchboard stands as a silent facilitator of daily routines. A prime example is the President's wake-up calls, a service steeped in protocol and discretion.
The embedded video offers a rare glimpse into this routine from President Obama's perspective.
As an operator, facilitating these wake-up calls was part of my duties, a task that might seem routine but carried profound significance.
This is a reminder of the intricate choreography that goes into running the highest office in the land, where every role, every task, and every call contributes to the seamless functioning of the White House.
